How to find and remove a dead house mouse
The house mouse can be found in the house if it’s looking for food. So it is always recommended to keep the food in some metal containers so the mouse is not there.
Following are the ways through which we can look for a dead mouse.
Smell of the mouse
Once an animal dies, it produces a bad small which is the indicator of finding the dead mouse in the house. If it becomes difficult to identify the mouse, try feeling the smell of the mouse and then locating it will be helpful.
Look in corners or dark places
Mouse lives in dark or shaded place where a person cannot reach easily. Another indicator could be to look in the corners of the house.
Try looking in the cupboards or boxes. Still if unable to find any mouse remain, better to look in the basement if any in the house or locate the roofs of the house.
Look at the bottom of the walls
Looking for a dead mouse? It can be found somewhere on the side of the wall, as they are unable to stick to the wall once they are dead. Mice can be found there as those are dark and warm areas.
There are different steps that can be followed to remove the dead mouse from the house.
Spraying some disinfectants
There are chances that the germs from a dad mouse can be transferred to the human beings. This situation needs to be catered as soon as possible. It is always better to spray some disinfectants onto the dead mouse so that the disease is not spread.
Removing the mouse from that area
The dead mouse needs to be removed immediately. Pick up the mouse by wearing gloves on your hands and then pack it in a polythene bag. All the other worms which have fed on the mouse should also be picked up. Doing this immediately will decrease the risk of spreading the germs. Once done, the area needs to be cleaned.
